The places worth getting out of bed for.

Great spot for an eclectic and elegant brunch. Digest with a walkabout to view the hotel art. The menu doesn’t disappoint and the people watching is even better.
Campo Casa Faena

It may not have fancy decor but the food is as close to authentic Guatemalan as you can get in the states. the desayuno is ALL DAY or I recommend cerdo frito.

Touristy? Yes. Cuban Coffee? Legit. The Expereince? Worth a stop.

Off Bird Road, not to far from Tropical Park. THIS is the spot I go for hot pressed Cuban bread and a Cortadito (Cuban espresso shot). Go classic-eggs, bacon, bread - so good. OR grab a guayaba pastelito and cafe' con leche to go.
La Carreta

Secret-sit outside on the patio and people watch. Inside is NOT the same expereince. Classic breafast and they bring the cafe' with the con leche in a little pot so you can make it the way you like it.

It is a local chain, yet for French pastries or a baguette sandwich I'll stop!! A few locations and I prefer Kendall (newer). It gets crowded on the weekends!!
La Boulangerie

Brunch or Dinner - lovely canopy outside for sipping. The French Toast is almost too decadant or in the evening a thick burger.
Greenstreet Cafe

Close to FIU, enjoy Nicaraguan cuisine that’s a sit down meal (not knock on’ the fritangas). Start with the Antojito de Queso Frito or Chanco con Yuca (shareable) and finish with the Carne Asada .

Reserve at dusk for a Miami beach breeze, after a Buratta and Grilled Branzino take a walk along the Boardwalk, tree lined and shady, it's a nice way to work off a sunset dinner. Expect to pay for valet OR get a spa deal (Miami Spa Month is July/Aug)...
Okay, I did see Roger Federer by the Setai pool & Zendaya on the Boardwalk. I left them alone to enjoy the habitat too.  ;)

Cozy atmosphere for Miami with creative cocktails and phenomenal Argentinan food. It’s definitely shareable! For the table: an empanada assortment, the burrata, the goat cheese & beet salad, the truffle mashed potatoes, the pan seared salmon and ...

Let's say you're headed South on US-1 toward Homestead or Key West, There's a spot that's easily passable on your LEFT that is a seafood market AND restaurant. Check the calendar for Stone Crab season or just get a couple pounds of peel n' eat shrimp...

Ceviche or Sushi? BOTH!! It's also about being in Wynwood which is an art district where every wall is a work. Parking can be a *itch. So expect to circle on the weekends for a parallel spot or shell out $$ to park in a lot.

Tourist trap, kind of . . . but super-fun! Great Latin music and good drinks. Go in the afternoon to cool off with a drink and live music or at night for passistas and Samba! Food is marginal but you go for the Calle Ocho experience.

It's an expereince! Used to be way cooler until it got fancy. BUT, any location (I usually am at Flagler) has fresh juice right outta the crusher. Food is okay to go, congris (rice/beans) and chicarrones (get napkins).
El Palacio de los Jugos

Go or sit at this phenom bakery in Brickell. Light lunch too. It is awkwardly outside an large office building so plan to park or have someone circle strategically.
