Food
You know they're gonna want to stop at the market. Browse the vendors and then surprise them with a pasta lunch *inside* the market. This place makes 3-4 pasta dishes daily from scratch and the menu changes based on what's in season.
Pasta Casalinga
The steamed hom bow from here is the best in the city. Get the pork!
Mee Sum Pastry
This spot is new-ish and they have a lovely outdoor seating area. Their bread is incredible.
Saint Bread
Oysters are a must! I'm bias but I think we have some of the best in the world. This little seafood restaurant is a gem. Go around when they open or be prepared to wait. Anthony Bourdain stopped here in his Seattle ep of Parts Unknown.
The Walrus and the Carpenter
The Caribbean roast sandwich from here is quite literally life changing.
Un Bien
Delicious seafood here! We took my sister here and posted up with snacks and beers and games for 2 hrs.
Local Tide
Delicious Vietnamese food. I always take visitors here for dinner!
Monsoon Seattle
Plant-based ice cream that's actually so so good.
Frankie & Jo's Capitol Hill
The Mackles’more here is incredible!
Hello Robin
If your visitor is a big sushi person then they will absolutely love this spot.
Shiro's Sushi
Nature
This park is within Seattle and has the cutest lighthouse. Makes for a great mid-day walk!
Discovery Park
If your visitor is a plant lover then this is a must! You can also walk around Volunteer Park after and have a picnic.
Volunteer Park Conservatory
This is a *serious* hidden gem park. Grab a pizza to go in Magnolia (Queen Margherita Pizza) then come here for a picnic.
Ella Bailey Park
Shops & bookstores
You can usually find some great vintage treasures here!
Fremont Vintage Mall
Amazing bookstore in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
