I mostly knit with drops yarn due to its affordability and availability to me. Knitting doesn't have to be an expensive hobby and drops yarn is certainly helping me with that!

Summer yarn
Â
My favorite summer yarn ever! 53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen. I've made 3 summer tops using this yarn and love them all. This yarn stretches with wear and then regains shape again in the wash. I simply knit a size or two smaller to account for th...
Drops Belle Yarn
Wool / alpaca blends
Â
Sturdy yet soft, a wool alpaca blend (65% wool, 35% alpaca). I made my Esther jacket by Petiteknit holding Nepal + Flora in and I couldn't be happier
Drops Nepal
Â
Thinner Nepal sister, it has the same composition of 65% wool and 35% alpaca. Same softness, slightly different color offering
Drops Lima
Â
Nepal and Lima's smallest sister with the same composition of 65% wool and 35% alpaca blend. Can feel a bit rustic for sensitive skin. I combined it with Nepal in my Esther jacket and can't feel any itchiness
Drops Flora
Â
100% alpaca. I find this yarn super soft and it drapes well. Colors are to die for and overall a wonderful value for money
Drops Alpaca
Â
A solid sock yarn, 75% wool, 25% polyamide. I held it with drops air to make a more durable winter hat and it worked wonderfully! On its own it may be not be as soft on sensitive skin
Drops Fabel Yarn
Â
100% wool. As half of the knitting world, I used this yarn to make my Sailor slippers. It felts well, it's cheap and has beautiful colorways
Drops Snow
Merino yarn
Â
100% super wash merino. Beautiful colors. I enjoyed working with his for a Sophie scarf held with additional 2 strands of brushed alpaca
Drops Baby Merino
Â
100% super wash merino, thicker sister of baby merino. It may pill overtime but I've held it with brushed alpaca silk for hats and it works wonderfully and looks great after frequent wear
drops Merino Extra Fine
Â
Thicker version of Merino extra fine, 100% super wash merino. I find it pills overtime so best to use for accessories and held double with a mohair or brushed alpaca
Drops Big Merino
Â
100% non super wash merino. I adore working with this yarn. It will pill, yes, but what merino doesn't? I held it with brushed alpaca silk for a Cloud sweater by Petite knit and I lived in it throughout winter, so warm and comfortable.
Drops Daisy Yarn
Fuzzy yarns
Â
My hot take: blown yarns are not made to be used for garments AND are wonderful in accessories. 65% alpaca, 28% nylon and 7% merino. I will happily knit all sorts of scarves and accessories with it. For added structure, pair with a more structured ya...
Drops Air
Â
74% alpaca, 18% nylon, 8% wool. Ideal for small gift knits as this is ultra soft but may be a bit splitty on the needles. Pair with brushed alpaca for extra luxury ;) I would avoid making full garments in this unless combined with a more structured y...
Drops Sky Yarn
Â
77% alpaca, 23 % silk. My favorite mohair alternative and most used drops yarn. I love the softness and affordability and I don't see a reason to pay more for brushed alpaca from different brands
Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk
Â
75% mohair, 25% silk. Soft to the touch but a bit less so when knitted up. If you're not sensitive to mohair, fantastic value for money and great colors to choose from!
