Mom just wants to spend some time with you. Really! The gifts, chocolates and flowers are nice, but all she wants is your time. And it doesn't have to cost anything. These suggestions are written from my perspective as a single mom with a son. They could pertain to any parent and their older child or children. These are the things I would like to do with my (older) child on Mother's Day. I think this day is all about celebrating the bond we share together. And I would always like to have him to myself haha. I am a fairly emotional and nostalgic mom, and I love that kid to the moon… no matter how old he is!
This might be the neighborhood you still live in, but a stroll down the street talking about old times will make mom feel seen and appreciated. The fresh air is nice, and you can compare memories of stories of your younger years.
