Lesbian Smoke Signals (How To Tell She's Into Girls) & Gifts Ideas! - Lesbian Flagging

Light Bulb emoji 25 items
This is for straight-passing lesbians. A little list of things you can wear or ‘present’ to signal your sexuality so that other lesbians will notice you. So many wlw gals don't look like stereotypical lesbians. They aren't wearing loose cargo shorts ... And grab some of these subtle lesbian ‘signaling’ gifts (for yourself) that I found. This list is loaded with stereotypes, and I'm def not sorry about that. :)  *Lesbian Flagging* Some of the links associated with this list may be affiliate links. Cool band tees from bands have lesbian members or are just loved by the gay community. Ones like Tegan and Sara, B-52s, Indigo Girls, Muna, Girl in Red… there are so many.  But these are subtle queer signals to the rest of the queer community.

This bracelet is so lovely and delicate and understated.  I can see a femme rocking this piece.  It is delicate, but i get masc vibes from it as well, with the repeating geometric shapes.  Anyways, the colors are from the lesbian pride flag, and I don't think many non-LGBTQ people would know what this color combo means.

Put a pin on your bag or backpack, or a sticker on your phone case. Just wear that little rainbow!  Gals who are wondering if you're on the team… they are looking for it :)

Those lesbian pride colors are on your phone case! In a minimalist aesthetic and totally trendy little polka dots. Hold your phone so she can see the case, and maybe she'll clue in enough to come and chat you up.  :)  Really, any phone case with lesbian ‘symbols’ or colors will suffice, and this is a great spot for them because a lot of us hold our phones in our hands a lot of the time. It's like a fashion accessory!

Lavender is a perfect sapphic-signalling color. Even one little extension in your hair on a night out might help to put a spring in your step. :)  And no commitment to dying your hair!

A chunkier ring looks nicely sapphic. Especially on the thumb. This one is especially awesome, because of the masculine vibe, and the geometric triangle details. Black triangles are a historical lesbian symbol, and they look amazing on this ring.

A lot of WLW gals love a nice paracord-knotted bracelet.  When you are stranded in the wilds, you can unravel it and make an entire shelter out of it.  I understand that this is yet another layer of shameless stereotypes in this list.  Sorry, not sorry.  Anyways, this is a really nice knotted bracelet.  I love that one side is orange/peach and the other is purple/lavender.  A cool twist on your standard knotted bracelet.

As a move away from male-dictated standards of beauty for women, lesbians often like to pierce other places than just their ear lobes.  Of course, facial piercings aren't only a lesbian thing, but it puts another check in another box.  And if you don't want to get a piercing, or want to try it out before committing, clip-on jewelry is the way to go. Some subtle lesbian vibes!

This one is old-school… I can't say that pinkie rings are really a gay-girl signal anymore.  But other people say this is true, so I'll include it :) Here are a couple cool WLW vibing ones from a shop on Etsy. (The link leads to the snake ring, just poke around that shop for the scissors one.)

A shirt with some reference to Lesbian cultural and political history.  So many sapphic gals will get the references, and most others won't. And if they do, they are most likely an ally anyways.

I love the rustic vibe here.  The lesbian pride flag colors in stripes of fau wood grain.  This works for everyone!  And everyone needs a water bottle :)

Lesbians will probably get the joke, and other people… not so much.  And if you don't understand this one, let me les-splain it to you.  The stereotype is that lesbians jump into relationships much faster than everyone else, and after 5 mins of dating a new gal, they will rent a u-haul to move in together.

Any bandana will give gay-girl vibes. This one is pretty cool. I like the abstract pattern with the stars.  It's the idea that counts.  A bandana with lesbian pride colors on it looks awesome, especially when she's on a motorcycle :)

I love this so much.  It's minimalist, but so meaningful.  I don't know if most other people will know what this is about. It's just so dang pretty they may not know what the venus symbol is, and if they do, that fact that a woman is wearing it is fitting anyways.

This is more of a personal opinion I think… But Vans are the perfet intersection of comfort, kitsch, style and flair.  They come in lots of fun colors if you want, and I've noticed that the sapphic gals seem to like them.  This would be a very subtle signal… seriously. Don't notice that straight looking girl wearing vans and start planning your wedding…

If you don't have the stomach for an actual tattoo, grab some temporary ones.  Put a little rainbow on the inside of your wrist and turn your wrist when you are wanting to be seen. :)

Totally adorable and great for a femme, I'm calling this lesbian slushie a ‘bag charm’ but you can obviously use if as a key chain.  There are so many fun charms you can get for your purse or backpack.  I've seen some really cute crochet ones too :)

Hang this on your rear view mirror.  Not only will it make you crazy happy, the cute girl in the next car over might see it and give you a smile. or something.  This particular little crochet bee comes from Ukraine, so you will have to wait for it.  I just could't resist including it :)

Clip carabiners to you and your stuff.  Clip one to your bet loop, to your purse or bag, backpack… seriously.  Grab some paracord and make a necklace with a cool carabiner as a pendant.  Now thats funny!  Also, stereotypically lesbian.  But straight people probably won't know this :)

This is 125% better if there is a carabiner clipped on to the handle.  :)  This paricular carabiner ‘design’ has three levels of girl-gay; 1. carabiners 2. colors purple and orange 3. intertwined and arranged in a heart shape. You're welcome!

There's something quintessentially lesbian about a cute girl in a dress and docs.  These days you can't be too sure, but its a pretty decent flag if you're looking.

This isn't really a ‘wearable,' but I just wanted to include this idea.  If you have new people over to your place, artwork can send lots of lesbian signals too.  But, really, I'm sure they prob know you are gay if they are in your home….   This one is super subtle; simply using the colors of the lesbian flag.  This one is sold as a digital download from a shop on Etsy. There are a bazillion sizes available to suite the frame size you have.
