You want to support someone you love in their healing journey, or show care and compassion when they are going through a hard time. These are gift ideas for friends and loved ones who are on a journey of healing and personal growth. Giftable items th... Also, I've included information on healing activities, books to read, affirmations, and behaviors that send positive vibes into the community. I'm always adding to this list, so it's probably going to get huge!!
Get them a journal. Encourage them to write song lyrics, daily affirmations, observations from their week, cool motivational phrases …. anything! Start with one sentence a day, and it might really grow for them. It gets addictive! This practice can help your loved one look inwards and start to think more critically about their feelings and emotions. I've linked some pretty customizable notebooks that make great journals. But you can get them from the dollar store too!

Whether they are reading a physical book or listening to it as an audiobook, encourage them to read the words of other people who are really smart and have experienced a similar situation. It is calming and affirming to know that other people have similar problems, or are on a similar life journey. Even read a book about diet and exercise or attachment styles! I personally love reading paper books, because I mark my favorite places in them (and sometimes use a highlighter!!) And I've linked this rec to bookshop.org. An awesome online retailer that shares profits with local bookstores of your choice. …or can read (or listen to) books for free at your local library! I've included a list of great books to browse through (in the second photo)

The most valuable and important gift you can give someone else is your time. Go pick them up and take them for a walk in nature, whatever that means for you. Fresh air, exercise and companionship can heal emotional wounds and lift spirits. Even when you walk in silence and enjoy those minutes of the day in deep thought, this can be so healing. The fact that you set aside time for them can make them feel valued and respected.
Your Time
The idea… they get to look at a heartfelt motivational message in the morning with their first yummy coffee of the day! This particular coffee cup is cool because you can easily personalize the phrase to suit your loved one. You know what will brighten their day, so go ahead and change it up!. You can customize a different phrase on each side of the cup. Any opportunity to look at an inspirational message (from you!), especially in the morning, is a great way to greet the day!

Take a moment and find a joke or a meme to send your loved one. They would appreciate that you thinking of them, and they would appreciate a laugh. Humor is sometimes a great way to move through grief and difficult situations. And knowing that other people have experienced some of the same feelings is sometimes a relief. If there are memes about it, then there are lots of others in the world who connect with them! Share memes from Instagram or Facebook or Pinterest with your loved one and lend them a smile.

This is a simple magnet you can give them for their fridge meant to remind them of the important work they are doing healing from trauma and injury. This is like their little cheerleader! There are three color palettes for this design; gold, silver and copper. The gauzy background reminds you of a bandage you might use on a wound. And the paper texture circle in the foreground gives a delicate and natural aesthetic to the design. Give...

Okay, I know this looks like a modern torture device. I'm just saying… when they take care of their body, their mind might follow! I have this lower leg massager, as well as one for my neck & shoulders and one for my feet. This one is AAWWWWEEEESOME!! I'm on my feet all day at work, and I really look forward to a 20 minute date with this massager at the end of the day. The compression and kneading feel absolutely heavenly on the sofa while I doom scroll on my phone. :) #affiliate

There are thousands of really really smart people out there who make videos and podcasts about trauma, healing and wellness. These people are usually quite educated, and know what they are talking about! If you listen to a podcast that you think your loved on can benefit from, please share it with them! Maybe they will listen to it, and maybe they learn something from it! And they will feel some comfort in knowing that you were thinking of them, and care to know enough about their struggles to reach out with some helpful advice.
