Chief Little Eagle (Pat Gatz)

Smudging, sauna, cold plunge and ceremony, the practices my family has done for generations on Lake Kipawa, and where to actually go do them.I put these in the order I would walk somebody through them. Start at the top with what costs almost nothing. Work down to the five days if you want the whole thing. The only way, the right way, the Native Ways!

I put forty years on the land into these books so nobody else has to learn it all the hard way like I did.Tracking and scouting for people who have never hunted. Field dressing small game, step by step, with pictures. Over 200 wild game recipes. And a children's book that teaches the real meaning of the dream catcher in Algonquin.I wrote every one of them. Start at the top and work down. The only way, the right way, the Native Ways!

This is the trip I built for myself first, but realized other people wanted in. Five days deep in Nishnabi/Algonquin territory, on the same lakes and trails I grew up on, guided by me (Chief Little Eagle) and shaped by Native ways my family has practiced for generations. You wake up at Miwapanee Lodge on Lake Kipawa, eat what we caught or hunted that week, head out with me each day for whatever's in season hunting, fishing, tracking, hiking, learn the herbal medicines my elders taught me, and sweat the city out of you in a real ceremony. It isn't a glamping package with a Native theme. It's the real thing, made comfortable enough that bringing your spouse or your kid doesn't end in a fight. Built around couples (2-for-1 pricing) but works just as well for parent-and-kid trips, friend groups, or anyone who needs a serious reset. What follows is everything that's included: lodging, transport, meals, gear, the adventures, the cultural pieces, and the books I'd hand you on the drive home.
