You'll want to purchase several sets of cutting dies to use with your cutting machine.  I recommend having some basic ones like circles and rectangles, you can get fancier ones once you really get into the card making scene.

This Fiskars paper trimmer is the one I use, it works great, everything is visible on it and you can buy replacement blades when they wear down.  Definitely recommend this.

Embossing Folders and Powders

If you love the look and feel of textures and embossed patterns on your cards you'll want to purchase some embossing folders to create unique designs.  I have several of these and use them often in my card making.

Embossing powders come in a variety of colors, and sheens. When heated up on your card design with you heat embossing tool you can create beautiful shiny effects.  I love adding embossing powder in gold and silver to my cards for an extra special touch.
