Last year my yard was just grass and darkness. These stakes gave it that haunted-path energy without me having to dig holes or run extension cords everywhere.

Candles kept blowing out and plastic luminaries looked cheap. These solved both problems and actually cast the right kind of shadows.

Regular porch lights made everything look like a well-lit parking lot. Swapping in these changed the entire mood without rewiring anything.

My front door had a basic wreath for three years running. Finally ditching it for something with actual personality made the whole entrance feel intentional.

The trees in my yard were doing absolutely nothing for the vibe. Hanging a few things from branches turned them into the creepiest part of the whole setup.

We hosted a backyard Halloween dinner last year with paper plates on a bare table. Never again. These made the table look like a scene from a Tim Burton movie.

Wanted something big enough to see from the street but not so big it looked like a used car lot promotion. These hit the sweet spot.

All my decorations looked flat until I added atmosphere. Turns out the difference between ‘decorated yard’ and ‘haunted yard’ is literally just fog and sound.

Real pumpkins rotted. Plastic pumpkins looked fake. These gave me pumpkin vibes without the fruit fly situation I dealt with last October.

Stretched cotton cobwebs looked terrible after one windy night. These actually stayed put and looked intentional instead of like litter stuck to my bushes.

Went with a witch theme for one corner of my yard and it ended up being the section everyone photographed. Cohesive themes hit different.

October nights get cold and nobody wants to sit outside wrapped in a regular blanket at a Halloween party. These kept the theme going even when we were bundled up.
