Cooking can be really hard when you’re dealing with pain, fatigue, or mobility issues. These are things I actually use that make it a little more doable
Boils fast and shuts off on its own, which helps on brain fog days.
Electric Kettle
A blender you can put in the dishwasher. Good for smoothies, soups, and days when eating is hard.
Blender
Less effort. Less cleanup.
Air Fryer
I can throw things in and rest while it cooks.
Slow Cooker
I don’t have the grip strength for manual ones some days and this is a lifesaver.
Electric Can Opener
An easy way to add iron to your diet without remembering another supplement.
The Original Lucky Iron Fish
I use these to cut meat, pizza, cooked 🥕🥦🫑.Way easier than knives when my hands feel weak.
Food scissors
*Silicone* grips that save my wrists and my patience. (These are honestly great anywhere I also use them to open toiletries!)
Jar Opener Gripper Pads
These put so much less strain on my wrist & take less effort to use. Great for people with limited wrist mobility.
Right Angle Knife
Takes the work out of cutting veggies and makes cooking seem less daunting for me.
Mandoline Slicer
So I can roll around my kitchen while cooking and save some energy. If you have a rollator/walker this works too!!!
Adjustable Rolling Stool with Back Rest
Helps a bit when I do need to stand.
Anti Fatigue Mat
Fewer dishes means more energy left for other things. These ones are my favourite & can be used in the microwave!

Uber Eats
A lot of ovens have automatic shut off or a “cook time” option that will shut off when it’s finished for that extra peace of mind when the brain fog is brain fogging.
