Walking This Journey Together, Living Well With MS
A little over two years ago, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), but my journey began years before that. I struggled with walking, tripping, running into things, weakness in my grip, and a growing list of symptoms that no one could seem to explain. It took visits to several doctors and years of searching before I finally received the answers I had been looking for. Along the way, I was also diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and Uveitis. My doctors believe my MS was the cause of my Uveitis. Hearing the words "You have MS" was one of the most frightening moments of my life. Confirming the diagnosis required a spinal tap, which was one of the hardest parts of my journey. Over time, though, my perspective has changed. These are the cards life dealt me, and I've decided I'm going to make the very best of them. MS may be part of my story, but it doesn't get to write the ending. MS is not a death sentence. Today, there are incredible medications, treatments, support programs, and communities that help people with MS live full, meaningful lives. With the right medical care and a lot of determination, I am doing so much better than I was six years ago. I'm stronger, healthier, and living a life I wasn't sure would be possible back then. This section is my way of sharing that journey. You'll find products, resources, and everyday favorites that have made my life easier and more comfortable. While everyone's experience with MS is different, my hope is that something I've discovered along the way might help make your journey a little easier, too. If you're living with MS, know this: you're not alone, there is hope, and brighter days are absolutely possible!
