Back to school can already be stressful, but having the right items can make your child's life a bit easier. Here are our tried and favorite items for back to school.

5 years ago I was a first-time mom looking up toys and items that were trending, but once my child was diagnosed with autism, I realized I didn't need any of the trendy items I purchased. I needed items that would support my child in his development and sensory needs. We have tried many items, some better than others. Here's my list of must-haves and how they have supported my child. I hope to give you ideas on how you can support your child with items and toys that have a purpose.

If you have an ASD child (or 2, 3...) you know being tired first hand! Early into our journey, the stress of the unknown and all the phases we were going through really took a toll on my health. Now, I've learned to not ignore my well-being because after all I can't pour from an empty cup.

How many car seats and strollers do you really need? Well, that just depends on your lifestyle. I opted out of getting a full-size stroller with my first child and it's been the best thing I've done. Compact strollers have done the job and saved my back! Literally! The only heavy “stroller” I support is a wagon stroller that can be used for both kids.
