I purchased this tin to hold their chalk but honestly any tin you like will do! This one is super cheap! We have a wooden fence so a nail and hooking it worked great! If you have a vinyl or aluminum fence possibly a command strip!

I purchased two of these chalk boards, one for each of my children! We have a wooden fence so I hot glued rope around the edge and then hung on a nail. I wanted to be able to easily remove it if bad weather was coming or to possibly change it out.
