Ok, let's be real - oil painting is kinda expensive for a hobby. The tubes of paint that are affordable are either small or the pigment just isn't there after a few weeks! All the different tools and methods can be migraine inducing. This list intends to bust through that. I've oil painted since the 90s and have developed preferences for things while on a budget.Paint Container: Oil paint can last a long time out of the tube if you know how to keep it. I use a shallow Rubbermaid food storage container that has a gasket around the lid and two latches on opposite sides. If I haven't already, I add one drop of linseed oil to each color and mix it in. Lock the lid and I place the entire thing in the freezer if I know I wont be able to paint for more than a week! It's not an item I put on here but I wanted to mention it.

All things I have found to be instrumental in my gardening whether indoor or outdoor. I highly suggest researching each and every plant you are interested in. If it looks like too much work for you, skip it for now. Focus on the beginner friendly ones that are almost bomb proof. Dry fertilizers last way longer than liquid. Always buy dry. My bloom is 4-35-24 and I dilute it heavily! Small pinch to 1 gallon of water does bulb/corm/rhizome up for awhile. :)
