Some of my favorite breakfast and brunch places in and near Sacramento, kid friendly options too!
Map
This place in Tahoe Park is legit. It’s always packed, so you might wait a bit, but the food’s worth it. They’re serving great breakfast with fresh stuff—big portions, super tasty. Feels like a diner but fancier. Staff’s quick once you’re in.
Bacon & Butter
Found this spot in South Sac, and it’s awesome for a quick banh mi fix. Bread’s crispy, fillings are fresh, and it’s cheap. Not some fancy place, just a solid place to grab a sandwich. Their egg banh mi is perfect for breakfast.
Duc Huong Sandwiches
This Midtown place is my go-to for a big breakfast. Feels like a friendly diner, and the food’s legit. Their biscuits and gravy are next-level comfort food. Parking’s a pain, but the mimosas and chill vibes make up for it.
The Morning Fork
This Downtown pub’s got a cool, old-school British vibe. It’s like eating in a cozy tavern. Their big English breakfast is wild—tons of food. Can get busy, but it’s a fun spot to chill with a plate and a pint.
Fox & Goose Public House
Midtown spot that’s all gluten-free, but you’d never guess it. Food’s fresh, and the vibe’s laid-back. Great for my buddy with allergies. Their pastries are unreal, and it’s not some hippy health joint—it’s just good.
Sibling by Pushkin's
This North Sac place is straight-up Southern comfort. Feels like eating at your aunt’s house, but with better food. Shrimp and grits are fire, and the staff’s super nice. Not too fancy, just soul-warming grub.
Poppy by Mama Kim
Little spot in Midtown with killer breakfast. It’s cozy, and the food comes out fast. Those churro pancakes are like dessert for breakfast. Parking’s tight, but the staff’s friendly and keeps it chill.
Toasted Rooster Cafe
East Sac diner with a cool, rustic feel. Menu’s got some fancy twists, like that crab Benedict—man, it’s rich. Portions are huge, and the staff’s on point. Perfect for a lazy weekend brunch.
Orphan
South Sac spot that’s all about real Mexican breakfast. It’s a chill, family vibe with big plates. Chilaquiles are legit, and you won’t leave hungry. Nothing fancy, just solid food and good service.
Lalo’s Restaurant
Old-school spot that’s been around forever. Feels like a family diner, super welcoming. French toast is money, and it’s cheap for what you get. Great for a no-drama breakfast.
Brookfields Restaurant
Midtown spot with Southern vibes and a dope bar. Feels kinda classy but not stuck-up. Shrimp and grits are unreal, and those beignets? Man, they’re good. Great for a fun brunch with buddies.
The Porch Restaurant & Bar
Natomas diner that’s straight-up classic. Small, family-run, and the food’s banging. Pancakes and waffles are where it’s at. Feels like home, and you’re in and out quick.
Hot Off the Griddle
East Sac spot that’s bright and chill. They do cool stuff like that manapua thing—tastes awesome. Food’s fresh, staff’s friendly, and it’s a nice place to kick back for brunch.
Casa East Sac
East Sac spot that’s got that Southwestern kick. Love the cactus in their dishes—feels like a taste of home if you’re into Mexican grub. It’s cozy, not too loud, and the breakfast burrito’s a beast. Staff’s cool, keeps it moving.
Nopalitos
Midtown spot that’s dope for Chinese brunch. Dumplings are the star, but they got other stuff too. It’s modern, not your typical dim sum joint, and the vibe’s chill. Food’s fresh, and the staff’s solid.
