Favorite Gear for Hiking with Dogs
We've tried a lot of gimmicks and gadgets while hiking with our adventurous dogs over the years. These are our favorite things!
This leash is sturdy and hands free, perfect for if you need to use your hands. It also gives your pup more distance if you're on less travel trails.
Ruffwear Hitch Hiker Leash
We use this thing all the time, especially on shorter hikes or hot days when they need water often. There is no water waste if they don't drink it all, so you don't have to carry extra water weight!
Dog Water Bottle (Leak Proof with Drinking Feeder)
We love this harness, and that it matches with other gear. It has great protective padding, so your pup shouldn't get friction spots if it is sized appropriately.
Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness
Our pups get so excited when these packs come out. They know they're going on a fun adventure! They don't rub in any weird spots like others we've tried.
Ruffwear Front Range Dog Day Pack
This bowl is so lightweight and packs down so small.
Ruffwear Quencher Dog Bowl
I love that this is scent proof for overnight adventures outdoors and has separate slots for bowls and food.
Kibble Kaddie - 10 Liters
Hopefully you never need to use this, but you will want to have a first aid kit specifically for your pup in case of emergency.
ADS Trail Dog First Aid Kit
Please clean up after your pups, and do so in an eco-concious way.
