A few weeks back I saw a post *somewhere * that was a picture of sourdough toast slathered with several types of pesto and garlic butter. It was a work of art..the different shades of green from the different pestos, like an edible paint swatch, the background a bustling European farmers market..that picture has lived rent free in my brain since then (and do you think I can find it again?!?!?! NO !!! ugh!) So with that beautiful toast having preoccupied my brain for weeks, it time to gather up some of my favorite toast recipes to share. Obviously the basics are simple: 1) toast bread 2) top with delicious foods. But this list might show you some new toast combos that you haven't even considered.
