Baščaršija is a symbol of Sarajevo. Wonderful shops full of souvenirs, sweets, beautiful things. This is not to be missed if you are in Sarajevo.

Sarajevo has many beautiful bridges, and the Miljacka River is so tame, and on the other hand, so unique.

Next to the Emperor's Mosque, a harem with over a hundred tombstones and one old undated tombstone believed to belong to the grave of Isa-beg Ishaković has been preserved. Beautiful Sarajevo and its history.

The guide told us that the owner didn't want to sell this house, so he carried it board by board across the Miljacka River and rebuilt it just as it was. Now there's a restaurant on that spot.

Afternoon trips

They're beautiful, but they don't last long. You can see a lot in a short time.

For us, passionate nature lovers, Ilidža is like it was created for us. It's not far, and the walk is a real blessing.

Food and drink

Among other things, what made me go to Sarajevo was their food.

They recommended this ćevap restaurant to us and I didn't regret it because I heard it was well known in Bosnia. With onions and kajmak in a bun, of course. A huge recommendation for this place, and in Sarajevo it is a given that you eat ćevap.

For true gourmets, baklava is the right choice. We tried a lot of them, and I brought some home. Baščaršija offers a large selection of shops with handmade baklava.

I'm a big fan of sweets, and I brought ratatouille to my family and colleagues from work. Sarajevo is also famous for ratatouille and you have a large selection of this sweet.

Bosnians have a tradition of drinking coffee. It is served in cups, and you get sugar in cubes. An exceptional pleasure. Of course, with Turkish delight.
