The perfect jacket for spring weather is exactly like the one in this post. It's lightweight, windproof, and has a hood in case of bad weather. I often need a hood, even though the weather is nice at the bottom and can be windy at the top.

I recommend merino wool because it's great for layering, which is what hiking is all about. It moves with your body, wicking away moisture while maintaining breathability. My go-to item for hiking is a merino wool wardrobe.

I always have a spare pair of socks in my backpack because you never know what the terrain will be like. I wear merino wool socks, which are proven to be good because your feet don't sweat in them.

A must-have item in mountaineering is poles. Whether the terrain is flat or hilly, they will help you a lot when climbing, and maybe even more so when descending. I always carry them with me, no matter where I go or how difficult the trail is.

I always carry a spare one, and my friends carry two or three. A flashlight doesn't have to be exclusively for your head, but it is recommended to have one just like that so that your hands are free.

I have a lot of them, in different colors. I always wear them, because I've gotten wet a couple of times on the trail because the rain came suddenly. I recommend that you have one like this too, because it doesn't take up much space in your backpack.

The best thing about food is these energy bars. They don't take up a lot of space, they don't make you drink a lot of water. I always take them with me on the trail.

It is recommended that you have gaiters, especially in the spring. I always wear them, although I must admit that sometimes I don't even use them.
