My painting style is more impressionist than realistic, which is why I enjoy watercolors. But, I learned to paint as a teenager with oil paints which are radically different to use!
Different from wet felting, needle felting involves stabbing a barbed needle repeatedly into wool until something cute emerges. I find it very cathartic, because the universe is frustrating.
