Buy whatever rice works best for you & your family.
Experts suggest 1 gallon of water per person per day in an emergency situation. And to have between 3-7 days worth of food & water per person.
Canned goods are generally inexpensive & have a variety to choose from: veggies, beans, soups, sauces, fruits, & meats. These are definitely cheaper items so you should be able to buy a few extras.
Pastas are a must when survival prepping. Easy to cook, filling, & feeds a lot.

Use a hair straightener to seal Mylar food bags. Get one specifically for emergency prep so there is no contamination of hair in supplies & food.
Vehicle Emergency
Hopefully you never need these, but in case you do it's better to have it on hand than not at all
