Clover Dell Park
The Katy trail is 240 miles stretching from Clinton & Machens. It was built on part of an old railway, the MKT, with I believe 4 restored railroad depots along the trail & over 20 trailheads. Most beautiful in fall & spring.

Lost Valley Hatchery
Our favorite lake beach within a 30 ish min drive. Water is clean, flushing restrooms, picnic areas. Go a little further & you reach Warsaw. Where you can see Truman dam & Truman visitor center. Which are great little pit stops.
