Local pumpkin patches (Carroll County, MD)
I know this won't be useful for everyone but if you are in the area (or close enough) these are my favorite places to take the family and go on our annual pumpkin patch hunt.
Hands down the best place to take the entire family. They have a huge play area for the kids, wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, flowers, gourds and a fanastic store with homegrown veggies and meats.
Local Homestead Products LLC
This might be the OG in Carroll County. This place has been around since I was a kid. Massive property, petting zoo, tractor rides, apple picking and a barn full of their own baked goods.
Baugher's Orchards & Farm
Known for their corn maze you can still get pumpkins here. TONS of activities for kids as well.

They have beautiful grounds and a great wine selection. My sister got married here in November and it was gorgeous.

I love this place. It's truly may favorite. They switch out their seating outside depending on the season. They've had tents, and picnic tables to igloos. It's so fun and they really execute everything to a T. It's beautiful and great wine!

Fall is a great time when its not too cold yet but we've broken away from the heat to get out and enjoy your community. There are so many great festivals, and small businesses that have fun Fall activities.
The annual Autumn Glory Festival is a five-day celebration of autumn that celebrates the beauty of the local fall foliage. It's farther away but perfect excuse to rent an airbnb and get up in the mountains for the weekend.
