With 3 kids ranging from 3 to 9 I need a lot of variety when it comes to outdoor activities. I love these places in my area. If you are in the Maryland, Baltimore area these are for you!
This is a great playground for kids who want to pretend to be a professional athlete or honestly not at all. It's a well produced playground that kids can pretend to go through a Ninja Warrior type obstacle course. Really fun!
Ravens Playground

As a family with small kids we really enjoy this area of the east coast. It gives all the beach vibes you could ask for, it's clean and the beach is nice.
City of Rehoboth Beach
We love this park. It's a bit further for us now but when we lived in Catonsville we would go here all the time. Lots of trails, easy walks for kids and dogs. And the park is clean.
Potomac State Forest
This is such a great farmers market. We don't get there often but when we do we love it. The kids love picking out fresh food for the week and we always get a special treat. We love to mini donuts!
Baltimore Farmers' Market
Whether you go during the holiday season or just a regular weekend it's really beautiful. The staff really keeps the place looking just picture perfect.
Longwood Gardens

Nothing like a good nature trail that the whole family can do. Great views, easy trails and easy to get to.
Gunpowder Falls State Park - Maryland DNR

I haven't always been a foodie but I think I can officially put myself in that catergory. I just crave good food and I respect the chefs that put all their love and passion into their work.
Hands down my favorite place. Period! It's a bit of a hole in the wall but the food is great. My favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala.

There are lots of good Italian places but what I like about this place is something I'm not sure they have on the menu but I still manage to get it every time. It's a pulled short rib dish with fresh mozzerella and a yummy sauce.
Liberatore's Ristorante

They have good pizza but I usually go for the cheesesteak sub because they literally have the best bread. So fresh everytime. Hands down get the bread!
Genova's To Go

By far my favorite restaurant ever. They make food fun and it's really really good. The pretzel breadsticks with cheese sauce OMG. The big mozzarella sticks, OMG, the drinks OMG. Check this place out, I promise you won't regret it.

The sweetest most “hometown” ice cream place you ever did see. This place hasn't changed since I was a kid and for good reason. My favorite is the Mint Chocolate Chip!
Hoffman's Ice Cream & Deli
Fantastic views and facility. The wine is great and the place is always adding new interesting things to their property.
Old Westminster Winery
A tragic story but a testament to the love and joy of keeping someone's memory alive. I love this place and their baked goods are straight out of your grandmother's oven kind of feeling.

I grew up coming here and I loved it because you get to camp and go to the amusement park. I just took my kids this past summer and we had a blast!
Knoebels Amusement Resort
This is a scrappy theatre but they put on great shows (particulary the dance shows).
Baltimore Theatre Project
I may be a bit bias (I'm a dancer in this company) but Full Circle puts on some incredible performances. Rooted in themes that get your thinking and motivated. I highly recommend seeing one of their performances.
