Living in NE Ohio there are so many fun things to do within a few hours drive of us. These are some of our favorite places to visit. Any of these places could be a fun a day trip, an overnight trip, or even a long weekend trip.

Cleveland
Cleveland is about an hour from us so we go there frequently. Just walking around downtown you will find so many different things to do. Here are some of our favorite places.
East 4th Street is an experience! It’s a little strip of bars, restaurants, and shops. There is something for everyone here. And, it’s so pretty at night.

I have seen several concerts here. It’s a more intimate venue so there isn’t a bad section.
House of Blues Cleveland
The view of the city at night is just beautiful! The last time my friends and I were there, there was a Guardians game going on and you could see into the stadium. It was really cool!
The Garden of Eden
The last play we went to was Pretty Woman, it was such an experience!
Playhouse Square
Who doesn’t like to press their luck sometimes…. Hahaha
JACK Cleveland Casino
If you are a music lover, you definitely have to add this to your list of places to see.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
This is one of our go to hotels. It is in walking distance of so many things on my list. It’s very clean, the staff is friendly, and it’s very reasonably priced.
The Westin Cleveland Downtown
This is the hotel we stay in when we are feeling fancy. It’s beautiful and clean. This is the hotel that The Garden of Eden is on the rooftop of. There is also a bar in the basement called The Vault, it used to be a bank that they turned into a bar.
Metropolitan at The 9, Autograph Collection
If you’re a glutton for punishment, you have to go to a Browns game! You will at least have a great tailgate experience. Hahaha
Huntington Bank Field
We always have a great time at the Guardians games.
Progressive Field
This restaurant was so much fun! It’s a cool atmosphere, the food was amazing, and they have really fun specialty drinks.
Steak Cle
The monkeys are always my favorite 🦧🦍🐒
Zoo | Cleveland Metroparks
So many amazing vendors here! You can get fresh produce, different meats, specialty cheese, spices, peanuts, but my favorite is the pickle stand!
West Side Market
Geneva
We take a yearly family trip to Geneva. There are so many things to do for all ages.
You can stay in a room in the hotel or rent a cottage. The Geneva On The Lake strip is just a few minutes walk from here.

Everything we have had here has been delicious. It’s fun because the menu changes so you are always excited to try new things.
The Black Door Tavern
They have a great bourbon selection, including their house made bourbon. This is right next door to The Black Door Tavern.
Red Eagle Distillery
You can sit outside and enjoy live music, good food, and of course great wine!
Debonné Vineyards
They always have live bands and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The food is so good!
Sportsterz Bar and Grill
The best Bloody Mary’s and reuben sandwiches!

There is something for everyone in the family to do here.
Adventure Zone
This is a cute beach off of Lake Erie. The beach is clean, there are public restrooms, and there is a park.

You will not believe that you are in Ohio! If you enjoy being outside and exploring you will have a great time.
The canopy tours are so fun! If you have younger kids they have a separate smaller area for them to enjoy.

Sandusky
Put-in-Bay is a little island of off Sandusky. If you are looking an adult weekend getaway or to have a bachelor/bachelorette party, this is it!
The swim up bar is definitely an experience. You have to do it at least once.

The floor is sand and the seats at the bar are swings. It’s so fun here!

You will want to rent a golf cart to get around the island.

We have stayed here and have gotten an Airbnb. I would suggest for larger groups to get the Airbnb.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions - Sandusky
Definitely recommend for tweens and younger. I had my daughter’s 8th birthday here. They have the cutest spa area where the girls got mani/pedis. They had a blast!
Indoor Water Park & Resort - Sandusky - Great Wolf Lodge
If you are into roller coasters, you have to make the trip! They have literally everything! There is a water park area as well. Going in the fall around Halloween is a blast!
