As a well seasoned live music goer I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of festivals. They can be expensive but it’s so worth it when you get to dance and vibe to your favorite artists. Check out my favorite festivals from Northern to Southern Californi...

Insomniac rave in SoCal. The NOS events center is kinda rough but it’s a classic rave and music fest venue. Always a stacked electronic lineup.
Beyond Wonderland | March | San Bernardino
Goldenvoice’s Coachella is the most popular music and arts festival in Southern California. The lineups are always the best ever and you’ll discover plenty of up & coming underground stars.
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival | April | Indio
Country festival the weekend after Coachella. I may go someday.
Stagecoach Festival | May | Indio
Amazing single day throwback festival. Hot indie bands from the late 2000s.
Just Like Heaven | May | Pasadena
Never been but their lineups are always insane. The venue looks so dope. Also have always heard pretty good things.
CRSSD ‡ Festival | San Diego
Never been but Joshua Tree is legendary. There’s something about that place. I’ll go to this some day.
Joshua Tree Music Festival | May | Joshua Tree
Come to one of the world’s most notorious wine countries, Napa. Usually good lineups!
BottleRock | May | Napa Valley
I need to get one of these. A lot of events require bags to be clear, so this will be perfect for festival gear.
Hydration Backpack - 2L Bladder for Hiking
If you’re ever in the Sierras around 4th of July!
High Sierra Music Festival | July | Quincy
*2025 Dirtybird Campout joins Northern Nights!!* Coolest camping festival I’ve been to. Such a stunning experience in Northern California. Has the redwoods and a river to play in.
Northern Nights x Dirtybird Campout | July | Humboldt-Mendocino County Line
Usually has some of the coolest lineups. They’re not as good as like 10 years ago but some years they surprise me. Their venue has changed almost yearly. I had to go in 2023 when it was at the Coliseum.
HARD Summer | August | Los Angeles
Dont forget your sunnies 😎
Sunnies
SF's Coachella. Such a fun festival to explore, with talented lineups.
Outside Lands | August | San Francisco
Free small bluegrass music festival!
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass | Summer | San Francisco
Trance festival!
Dreamstate | November | SoCal
San Francisco’s Coachella. Takes place right in the city on the bay so the views are iconic. Lineup is always top tier thanks to Goldenvoice. Could use more art and activities.
Portola Music Festival | September | San Francisco
