Best Approach/Density of problems across all grades and what I consider world class. Am I biased? Maybe! This was the first place I've ever bouldered outdoors and I'm sure I can stay satiated with the problems here for the rest of my life if I need t... Make sure to stop by the clubhouse for a waiver and fees. Don't skip out on my other list with Southeastern Bouldering day trips if you need more inspiration!
Stone Fort | Tennessee
Most magical ✨ beware-sandbagged but too gorgeous to complain. If you're not used to the style of rock, it is a TRIP. Some areas can seem very fragile and hollow, because they are!! Do NOT climb wet rocks. Please, please, please….like Sabrina Carpent...
Joshua Tree NP | California
Kraft boulders specifically but there are so many spots and unique featured rock esp if you love staring at things that remind you of bacon. The approach for Kraft is extremely chill. Don't miss out on the very instagrammable Plumbers Crack (beware t...
Red Rocks | Nevada
Alpine Boulders. Make sure you go before roads close for the winter! Bring loads of water/snacks as it is a very isolated area and pace yourself. The aesthetic is amazing but your lungs may or may not be crying.
Lincoln Lake | Colorado
Jumanji style spot near Knoxville. You def should do a bit of research on problem top outs as many are a gym style match on a hold (please don't top out on roots and water). Make sure it hasn't rained in about a week since there is seldom any sun to ... You don't want to waste your day! Can't miss classics like Slam Dunk, Hemlock Arete, Popeye, and if you're strong as hell, Dave Hume Project, just to name a few!
Lilly Boulders | Tennessee
Though I've yet to go, it's on the list. Many problems, even more high balls. Am I ready for that? I can't answer that question just yet.
Bishop | California
I'm just trying to get on the V2-8 aesthetic problem, The Angler but what a dreamy spot!
Joe's Valley | Utah
Joe's brother ( I guess?) I'm looking forward to getting on problems here. I'm sure with over 400 problems, there won't be an issue.
Moe's Valley | Utah
Get a guide. It's certainly worth it.
Hueco Tanks | Texas
Great area! Climbing access “feels” fragile so make sure to know before you go. We want to ensure access for ourselves and others in the future!
RMNP | Colorado
World class slappin!
Horse Pens 40 | Alabama
A dream spot for me. A lot of planning and prepping is needed to ensure your trip goes smoothly!
Yosemite NP | California
All the granite, all the problems. Check before you go as you may need a permit.
Leavenworth | Washington
Immaculate vibes. What a dreamy bouldering destination, Can you tell I have a thing for water?
Tahoe | California
Though more so known for it's sport climbing, RRG has great boulders, as well!
