Most Ethical Shallow Dishwasher. This dishwasher is 3cm shallower than the other Miele dishwashers in this list. While it might not sound like much, that can mean the difference between your dishwasher fitting in or sticking out. Best for My House. Electrolux has a Shop Ethical Rating of C and tops the list of ethical fridges that are recommended by Choice. This is the Electrolux Fridge that is the best fit for the space in my house.

Most Ethical Fridge. This fridge made my list as Choice rated this as the best fridge with a Shop Ethical Rating of B or higher. However, it didn't make Choice's list of recommended fridges. This is the only integrated fridge on my list, it is much larger than the space in my kitchen, and it costs significantly more the other fridges listed.
If you opt for this fridge, I recommend having it designed into a kitchen refurbishment and having your builder install the fridge and remove your old one. If you are upgrading your fridge yourself, I recommend purchasing Miele's connection and removal services to have it fitted and your old one removed.

Washer/dryers let you need to set and forget your washing without having to move it to get it dry. They can be cheaper to purchase than a washer and a dryer, and avoid the need to have separate plumbing or venting for a dryer. However, the dryer capacity on all these machines is lower than the washing capacity. All of these machines were recommended by Choice, have a rating of at least 50% for every item, and have a Shop Ethical Rating of B or C. IUnfortunately there are no washing machines or dryers on Shop Ethical with a rating of A.

All of these machines were recommended by Choice and have a Shop Ethical Rating of C or higher. Unfortunately there are no washing machines or dryers on Shop Ethical with a rating of A. I excluded any machines with a very long cycle time, that didn't have a cycle for machine-washable woollens, or that were unstable during the spin cycle.
Best Performance and Best for Woollens. This machine has the top rating of the machines made by companies with a Shop Ethical rating of C or higher. (Miele is the only company in this list with a Shop Ethicalrating of B). It is also the only machine with an option for hand-washable woollens.
This machine takes the smallest load and is the cheapest of the Miele machines, and is the option I would choose if I only wanted a washing machine.
