Every June, the magical Maine lupine blooms in abundance. In various shades of purple and pink, it takes over numerous fields and hillsides across the state. Only blooming for a week or two, it’s crucial that I spent as much time with the flowers as possible. They literally become my entire personality.

Between Memorial Day and the 4th of July…Red, White and Blue are the symbols of a true New England Summer. Think parades, family BBQs, popsicles, ice cold lemonade, classic car shows, and live music in your town common under a bright white gazebo. Chasing fireflies at night, licking an ice cream cone and going fishing with Papa. THAT is a true New England Summer.

I swear that I make the best smoothies around, even better than some of the fancy boujee shops that charge $15 for a bowl. We live off smoothies for breakfast around here, and you can make so many different flavor combos.

My family and I eat what we call “Meal Salads” for dinner multiple times per week. I get so excited when I discover a new recipe to try. A salad can be as simple or as intricate as you want. Served in a beautiful bowl, with nice dishes, a crispy baguette and a chilled glass of wine. *Chefs kiss*

I have been in love with photography since I received my first camera at the age of 4 years old. A Kodak 110 film with those ice cube flashers on the top. As a middle schooler, I remember having a talking Polaroid camera that would catch the funniest expressions of confusion from my friends. My family was one of the first families in the area to purchase a digital camera in the mid 90's, it took a floppy disk and only held about 18-20 images at a time. IN all of this, I have become the self-proclaimed “Family Archivist” I take photos of everything, and painstakingly oragnize them to be saved and cherished forever.

I have been working on writing a novel, for a few years now. A novel based on a recurring dream that I have had since I was a child. I have complied a list of resources that have given me inspiration to finally start to bring my dream to life. Writing is a multi-faceted skill, and I just absolutely love it. From poetry, to hand written letters. From blogs to novels. Let's start this journey together!

This past week the common cold/flu has hit my household. During my child's spring break from college, no doubt. It laid us all out pretty straight for a week. Here how we managed to stay warm, comfy, and healthy in the meantime.

Simply put? I don't get to go on actual vacations too often, I'm not in the tax bracket. But I have been to a few cool plces in the last couple years, as we toured colleges for my daughter. So, I will include those places in this list!
