Wild Blueberry Weekend is celebrated on the first weekend of August, across the great State of Maine. So I am sharing all my favorite Blueberry finds with you, as August begins. Hopefully these goodies are your JAM. Spread it far and wide.

Every June, the magical Maine lupine blooms in abundance. In various shades of purple and pink, it takes over numerous fields and hillsides across the state. Only blooming for a week or two, it’s crucial that I spent as much time with the flowers as possible. They literally become my entire personality.

The 1990's Whimsigoth aesthetic was one of my favorite fashion and home trends of the time, and frankly still love it! It blends gothic moody colors, with an ethereal celestial, bohemian and medieval feel, all together. Velvet, lace, bell sleeves, stars, moons, the sun. It was beautiful, and the music was incredible during this time.

My family and I eat what we call “Meal Salads” for dinner multiple times per week. I get so excited when I discover a new recipe to try. A salad can be as simple or as intricate as you want. Served in a beautiful bowl, with nice dishes, a crispy baguette and a chilled glass of wine. *Chefs kiss*

I have been in love with photography since I received my first camera at the age of 4 years old. A Kodak 110 film with those ice cube flashers on the top. As a middle schooler, I remember having a talking Polaroid camera that would catch the funniest expressions of confusion from my friends. My family was one of the first families in the area to purchase a digital camera in the mid 90's, it took a floppy disk and only held about 18-20 images at a time. IN all of this, I have become the self-proclaimed “Family Archivist” I take photos of everything, and painstakingly oragnize them to be saved and cherished forever.

I have been working on writing a novel, for a few years now. A novel based on a recurring dream that I have had since I was a child. I have complied a list of resources that have given me inspiration to finally start to bring my dream to life. Writing is a multi-faceted skill, and I just absolutely love it. My daughter is entering her 3rd year in college at the end of this month. She started her college career in a “forced triple” really learning how to maximize organization space and share an extremely tight living arrangement with two strangers. Then lived in a 4 person suite, with a kitchen and bathroom, and then finally back to her own single normal style dorm room. So we have BEEN THROUGH IT with shopping for these various rooms.
