OK so I got these to help keep keep the heat in the bedrooms but they had an unexpected bonus of stopping my autistic child from opening and slamming the doors!!! This is the cheaper Amazon option, slides a bit easier on carpet. I am also linking a more expensive option which works better on hardwood and tile.
