Last year, I decided to leave my life behind in New York and start anew in Spain. I'm currently teaching English to pre-K and primary students in a little town in Spain. If you had told me 3 years ago I'd be packing all of my belongings into a 23 kg suitcase, I wouldn't have believed you at all. I'd probably just laugh.Alas, here I am. I've been living abroad in Spain since September. My journey has been filled with ups and downs. However, I've created such beautiful memories here that will last a lifetime.Before I arrived in Spain, I was going insane attempting to figure out what to pack. The first thought that came into my head was, “Are the skincare and haircare products I use available in Spain?” Although they do have K-beauty stores in Spain due to the rise in popularity of the Hallyu Wave, I was still worried about being able to find my favorite products there. Because of this, my suitcase was overweight and stocked to the brim with Korean haircare and skincare products. 😅 Did I go a little overboard? Yes! However, I know these products work for me, so I believe lugging these products halfway across the world was worth it.Hopefully, this list will also help you figure out what to pack, especially if you are a Korean beauty lover like me. From skincare to clothing, I've figured out the perfect mix of what to bring if you're moving to Europe or just traveling there.

My grandma used to put on K-dramas for me when I was a child. She'd buy them from a store in Chinatown, and they'd be dubbed in Cantonese. I didn't become obsessed with K-dramas until I was 12 and discovered Boys Over Flowers, a classic K-drama. To be honest with you, I wouldn't like the drama now as an adult. I've been doing pilates for 10+ years now. I began with a Blogilates (she's amazing for beginners and helped me build my strength) phase, and now I've moved on to other Pilates instructors, including Move with Nicole, Lily Sabri, and Pilates by Izzy. You've probably seen content creators who do a crazy 10-step Korean skincare routine, which is so slay for them. However, it's completely unrealistic for the average person. Let me de-influence you from that 10-step skincare routine. You don't need to break the bank and fall into the trap of creating an extreme skincare routine to take care of your skin. You also don't need to put too much effort into your skincare routine. When I was a college student, this was all I used: cleansing balm, foaming cleanser, toner (not completely necessary!), moisturizer, and sunscreen. Also, if I'm feeling up to it, I'll even wear a sheet mask before bedtime to boost my skin's hydration. After experimenting with skincare for 10+ years, I've learned that less is more. Throughout the years, I've gone through multiple bottles and jars of skincare, and these were the products that were most effective on my skin. I've included different alternatives for each skincare product, depending on your budget and needs! Please let me know if you have any questions! Prior to discovering East Asian beauty products, I had been struggling to find makeup products that suited my face for years. Not going to lie, East Asian makeup products completely changed my brain chemistry because I used to have a difficult time with making my eyelashes stay up with Western beauty products. Also, East Asian makeup companies have glitter eye makeup down to a tea!

As someone who's been obsessed with Korean skincare since I was 15, I didn't realize the importance of wearing sunscreen until my freshman year of college. Since then, I have gone through multiple bottles of Korean sunscreen from various brands. The Korean beauty industry is light years ahead of the American beauty industry when it comes to sunscreen formulas. They have it down to a tea! These sunscreens don't have a thick consistency, don't clog my pores, and leave my skin feeling moisturized throughout the day. They'll leave your skin looking beautiful and dewy while also protecting it from the sun's harmful UV rays. The important factors I consider when selecting my sunscreens are: don't leave a white cast, have a thin consistency, and moisturize your skin. Although sunscreen is the last step of your skincare routine, it's definitely not a step you want to forget! You will thank yourself in the future!

The summer heat has been absolutely unbearable. We have all been dripping sweat due to the multiple heat waves. Although it's been super hot outside, it doesn't mean that we can't still slay and look ethereal. I've been experimenting with different makeup products, and I've discovered some amazing items that don't melt under the heat. I have created a guide on how you can do your makeup to stand against the sweltering summer heat. To be honest with you, the key is how you prep your skin beforehand and the type of setting spray you use. As someone who lives under the humid East Coast climate, I've figured out a way to make my makeup stay on without any issue.

I have been a K-pop stan for 10+ years now and have attended over 10 K-pop concerts within the past year (I-dle, Taemin, J-hope, Jin, etc.). After attending multiple K-pop concerts, there are essentials that I make sure to bring in my bag before I leave the house. I've gathered a few tips and tricks for surviving a K-pop concert and making the best out of your concert experience! The most important thing is to bring a bag to the concert, so you have a place to hold your freebies and merch. I highly recommend remembering to bring a battery pack, just in case your phone dies in the middle of a concert. Also, remember to take care of yourself and others at the concert, so we can continue making K-pop concerts a safe, inclusive space for everyone! ❤️

BTS's music inspires their audience to love themselves and heal their trauma. I've been a fan of them since 2013. To be honest, their music has helped me through a lot. Whenever my nervous system feels dysregulated, I'll take a deep breath and put these songs on to calm myself down. I've also included some of the members' solo music in here! (I'm still in the process of adding more songs. If I'm missing something, please let me know! They have so many songs. 😭)
