I am a born-and-raised California girl! I know there is a lot of discussion about whether California is overrated, and in some ways I could see how it is; however, one thing about California is that the natural diversity is UNBEATABLE! (at least in the continental US) After 21 years of living here, I figured it's time that I share some of my favorite places in this beautiful state!

I am entering my fourth year of college this month with an upcoming study abroad! I have done two years at community college and recently completed my first year at a 4-year university! I have been working while in college, which has sometimes been a lot to manage, so here are some of the things that have helped me stay organized, manage my time and manage stress!

I love to exercise, but I have always struggled with consistency because 1. I'm too cheap to pay for a gym membership and 2. I get anxiety working out around other people. These are just a few of the items that have made it easy for me to stay consistent with working out! Tip: Find a few different forms of exercise that you enjoy, and try alternating between them! I find that some days I may not be in the mood for a run, but swimming is easier to commit to!

Just a list of some of my favorite baking recipes! I have personally tried and used all of these and love them!

I have been (mostly) gluten-free for nearly 4 years now. I am not celiac; however, I definitely have a gluten intolerance of some sort. I am able to make my own bread from scratch with minimal gut issues, which has allowed me to still remember what good bread tastes like. Because of this loophole, I think it makes me qualified to know what a good gluten-free product tastes like, and if it is truly comparable to the real thing. Also, I live in the middle of nowhere, where gluten-free items can be difficult to find. So anywayyyy there's my backstory and credentials- now here are some of my favorites that I have found at my local Target and Walmart!

Moving out and into a new dorm or apartment can be so scary! One way I found to help reduce some of the dreaded homesickness we are all bound to feel was by making my dorm as cozy as possible! I was lucky enough to have an apartment-style dorm, so I have also included sections for the bathroom and kitchen! If you are in a typical dorm, there are still many things that you will find helpful in those sections, maybe just on a smaller scale!

I like to think I’m a pretty simple gal when it comes to makeup. I know what I like and stick to the same routine almost every day. If you are the same way but want to try something new or are just looking for some new products to add to your routine let me share with you some of my favs!
