I love to exercise, but I have always struggled with consistency because 1. I'm too cheap to pay for a gym membership and 2. I get anxiety working out around other people. These are just a few of the items that have made it easy for me to stay consistent with working out! Tip: Find a few different forms of exercise that you enjoy, and try alternating between them! I find that some days I may not be in the mood for a run, but swimming is easier to commit to!

Swimming
I have been swimming both competitively and for fun for 10+ years, and Jolyn's have been my go-to suits. I prefer the Jackson's because of the tie back and I like my suits very tight when I swim, but honestly all the styles I have tried have been gre...
JOLYN Jackson 4 Tie Back Women's Athletic Swimsuit
As a lifelong swimmer, swimming is still one of my favorite forms of exercise! Unfortunately, my pool isn’t quite big enough for the laps I want to swim, so this pool tether allows me to swim nonstop in place and get a full workout in!

Mirrored goggles are the only way to go in my opinion! As a backstroker, tinted goggles simply did not cut it in protecting my eyes from the harsh California sun. And I cannot tell you how hard it is to flip turn on time when your eyes are twitching ...
Speedo Unisex-Adult Swim Goggles
This is just personal preference, but bungee straps for goggles are so much better. From my experience they hold much better than the rubber ones that goggles come with and don't stretch as much over time and have to be replaced. If you are swimming ...

Pilates
I love this pilates ring for adding resistance to my home workouts! I use the Lululemon Studio app for at-home pilates and barre workouts with minimal equipment. If you don't want to pay for the subscription, youtube also has great workouts!

Resistance bands are by far my most frequently used item in my home workout routine. I worked at a physical therapy clinic for years, where we frequently used these for a multitude of exercises. The different weights allow you to customize it to your...
Resistance Bands for Working Out
Another style of resistance bands I love is the open ones, like this one! I prefer them to the loops when doing arm exercises since they have less resistance and my upper body is not nearly as strong.

I love these adjustable bangles for both wrists and ankles! They go up to 1 pound each (you would be surprised how much of a difference it makes) and can be lessened if necessary. I love wearing these on my ankles when I go for walks and on my wrists...
Wellrox Weighted Bangles
Sliders will test your strength in ways you did not know possible. I love using these in a plank position with arm extensions to engage my core.

A good lightweight set of dumbbells is so good to have on hand. They are great to add a little bit of resistance as exercises get easier. You will be surprised how much of a difference even a couple of pounds makes!

Running belts have changed my running game! Since we know women's activewear rarely has pockets, this has been the perfect lightweight way to carry my phone, keys and airpods while running. I was worried it would come loose while I ran but it holds i...
Fast and Free Running Belt
I made fun of my stepmom so much when she first got this, but I quickly shut up once I tried it out. I love using it when I am not really in the mood to workout or go on a run outside, but I need to move in some way. I just set it up in front of the ...
Low noise walking pad
These are my favorite running shoes! I had bunion surgery and since then, have almost always worn toe spacers in my shoes to hold my toe positioning. These are some of the few running shoes I have found that have a toe box just wide enough for my toe...

Yoga
I am a very hyperflexible person, which is both a positive and a negative when it comes to yoga. These blocks are a good reminder to not allow my body to over extend when holding a pose. I try to avoid using them for support and more for a guide as t...
Cork Yoga Blocks
I wont lie, I'm a big baby. For a long time I avoided yoga because most of the flooring in my house is hardwood and it would hurt my bony knees and elbows too much, even with a yoga mat. I tried thick mats but didn't feel like they made much of a dif...
