books that definitely inspired the production of “Saltburn” and that, in their own way, share parallels with the movie
best written book I've ever read. we can clearly see how the relationship between Charles and Sebastien somehow resembles the bond that Oliver and Felix shared: the slight homosexual attraction, the deep friendship, Charles and Oliver staying respectively at Brideshead and Saltburn and the way that their friendship defined itself through the fact that they (both Oliver and Felix and Charles and Sebastien) were always together, at all time. such good parallels tbh
Brideshead Revisited: The Sacred and Profane Memories
Ripley was the epitome of obsession and honestly, who could possibly blame it? whoever suddenly is exposed to shiny things and to a lifestyle he's never grazed in his entire life has the potential to become a mere moth in this game
Talented Mr Ripley
such a good book
The Go-Between
a classic
A Midsummer Night's Dream
i honestly can't find any flaw in this book: it is simply a stunning book with a stunning story, stunning writing and a stunning influence as a classic
