items I have always wanted to draw, and really admired artists and graphic designers who would. I loved their art but inside I was insanely jealous that I couldn't create the same beauty with my hands. Or so I thought, until one day I stumbled upon Skillsh... things from 0 to hero overnight for me.
In my experience it's not enough to just have the right tools at the right time, the right mindset has be there too, for the magic to even get started.
I've listed the books, tools, and apps that helped me learn more about what I could really do (draw). As well as some easter eggs with some finished fabrics amongst I designed as a result of this class amongst one of the recommendations.

Personally I prefer listening to Lo-fi instrumentals on Youtube Music when creating repeat patterns or any other illustrations, as it helps sharpen my focus on the task at hand.
However, its also no fun getting your concentration broken if you are listening on auto play, then you get a mood breaker. (untrained algorithms are to blame for this one.) There goes your concentration and your thought patterns. Pun intended.
Having learned from this lesson, when I want to have a deep focus on the pattern I am working on. I pick a tried and tested playlist to help me get down to business when I need to.
