Thread used is called espiga, i use #8-18. It all depends on how thick you want the bracelets. This is a durable material, and helps last a while if taken care of properly.

Any lighter works to burn the ends, just make sure to be careful so you don’t burn your finger. It can get a bit hot so use the top of the lighter to burn it in the thread. I preferably use these two types, the small ones seem to last longer.

A wooden jig to hold the bracelet makes it faster to braid. If you dont have one you can go old school and tape it to the table but it makes the diy longer.

Any holder works well, if you make a lot of bracelets I recommend getting the one with 3 sets. If you want a display for your accessories then this will do, besides it’s really pretty to look at once you create a collection.

Beads and charms can be found anywhere. The cheapest recommendation from sellers, makers, people in general, would be etsy. You can find almost any kit or bead and it’s reliable for making bracelets.
