I'm mostly an audiobook gal, but I regularly listen to these podcasts too!
This podcast, featuring three queer comedians, is such a joyI recommend starting from the very beginning, as there are a lot of inside jokes! I adore all three hosts.
Handsome Pod
Amy Poehler is an incredible host and interviewer! Every episode feels so cozy and fun. Truly a good hang.
Good Hang with Amy Poehler
Also guaranteed laughs! It's an advice podcast. I'd start at the very beginning, as they often have callers come back to share updates!

I've been on a real British kick lately, innit?
I got reeeeally into Taskmaster last month and have been working my way through every episode! Currently on Series 9! It is so silly and the easiest route to a guaranteed LOL.
Taskmaster
I'm also working my way through Love Island UK! I started with S1E1 and am now on Season 4. It's taking forever because there are SO MANY EPISODES, but I'm having a lot of fun with it! It's the perfect show to put in the background while I play my sw...

Reading
Everything I read in September, in order of how much I loved it!
A classic for a reason! This was my first time reading it, and I fell in love. I need to watch the movie!!!
Heartburn by Nora Ephron
A beautifully written, raw and vulnerable memoir from a Palestinian author. Mostly about infertility, addiction, romantic relationships, and womanhood but she also talks a lot about her family's background and migrations. Loved!
I'll Tell You When I'm Home: A Memoir by Hala Alyan
Loved this! Slice-of-lifey historical fiction with the tension of a thriller! A wide breadth of strong characters who all happen to be on a single train.
The Paris Express by Emma Donoghue
This short novel is translated from the Japanese and explores a severely disabled woman's interior monologue and active online life! About sex, disability, and power. Fascinating and darkly funny. Just nommed for the International Booker Prize!
Hunchback by Saou Ichikawa
An emotional and introspective family drama. Mostly following a non-binary teenager, their autistic father, and their absent alcoholic mother. Well-written with really strong and realistic character development.
All the Things We Don't Talk About by Amy Feltman
The sequel/prequel to Bunny! It was really really fun to be back in this universe (Bunny is an all-time fave), but I think this didn't quiiiite live up to its predecessor.
We Love You, Bunny by Mona Awad
Journalism meets memoir about indigenous identity and what history means for native people now. Really good! Well-researched and personal.
Nothing More of This Land: Community, Power, and the Search for Indigenous Identity by Joseph Lee
Bizarre horror lit-fic about a grieving mother who replaces her deceased child with a monster. Rife with symbolism!
Monstrilio by Gerardo Samano Cordova
A romantic relationship study about two Hollywood stars! Very gossipy and fun but also realistic and grounded. Explores celeb worship, addiction, and toxic relationships.
Double Exposure by Elissa Sloan
A fun and compulsively readable novel about stolen/mistaken identity amid NYC socialites.
The Other Lata by Kirthana Ramisetti
Not my favorite EmHen, but I enjoyed it! I strongly recommend the audiobook, as Julia Whelan (the narrator) is a treasure.
Funny Story by Emily Henry
A novel exploring race and class in the theatre world and who gets the chance to tell which stories.
The Grand Scheme of Things by Warona Jay
For readers of A Little Life! About a young British Black man, sex work, and religious trauma. Well written but SO SO SAD. A bit too bleak for me, tbh!

On my Switch!
Everyone’s talking about this Switch game for a reason! I get to fulfill my dream of owning a bookstore. It’s so cozy and sweet. I especially love that I get to recommend actual books. Being an avid reader (and knowing which titles are scary and whic...
Tiny Bookshop for Nintendo Switch
I LOVE this game. It is whimsical, sweet, and low stakes while still having *some* stakes. You're a little camper on an island and your goal is to find lost things and help ghost bears resolve their emotional issues. It's adorable.
Cozy Grove - Nintendo Switch
The original! This is the one I have, and it works fine for my needs. If you want to upgrade, the Switch 2 is now available!
Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy-Con
The other (nicer?) option for playing Tiny Bookshop!
