Each page feels uplifting and positive, perfect for when you want a quick, satisfying colouring session that leaves you smiling. It’s also a lovely reminder to slow down and savour life’s simple joys.
This book is much smaller than Johanna's other books (6.01 x x 8.02 inches) but that's the purpose. It's easy to complete a page, and perfect for when you're out and about.
I like to use fine liners (waterbased) in this book as well as coloured pencils. The size of the images and detail makes it difficult to blend the coloured pencils (at least it does with the way I colour).

Eriy’s Romantic Country series is iconic in the adult colouring world — a true favourite among colourists who love delicate, old-world charm.
These books take you into the hand-drawn fantasy land of Cocot, filled with cozy villages, fairytale castles, bustling marketplaces, and enchanting countryside scenes, all drawn using a toothpick dipped in ink for a uniquely soft, detailed look.
The books come in a square format ( 23 x 23 cm / 9 x 9 inches), making them easy for the short sighted! But packed with enough detail to keep both beginners and experienced colourists happy.
The pages are double-sided, so they’re best suited for coloured pencils, water-based markers (carefully), or even light watercolour (if you go gently) — but they’re not ideal for alcohol markers, which can bleed through.
While I currently only have The First Tale and The Second Tale listed, there are other books from Eiry in my collection, though some can be a bit tricky to track down.
These two are wonderful starting points though for anyone wanting to explore Eriy’s enchanting world and enjoy a peaceful, whimsical colouring escape.
