My favorite book recs
"Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus" by John Gray, 1992.
It’s basically the pop psychology book that made “men and women think differently” mainstream. The whole premise is a metaphor:
Men = Mars→ value independence, competence, problem-solving. When stressed, they tend to “retreat to their cave” and go quiet to fix things themselves.
Women = Venus→ value connection, communication, being heard. When stressed, they want to talk it out and feel supported.
