Our whole family enjoyed listening to this book! It's based during the Great Depression and gives a glimpse into the life of the families that the government paid to move to Alaska. It's a really wholesome book that doesn't run from the hard things.

If you want a low intensity book that will give your kids a picture into the life of Native American Indians, this is a great one. It doesn't have a super strong story line, but my younger kids have especially enjoyed it.
