I love quotes and for many years I have collected them in eclectic notebooks. They are fun, enlightening and often very clever. The bits and pieces I have collected have made me laugh, cry, reflect, grow and generally evolve. As I journey more, many of the quotes are my own and sharing them is to share my heart and my love for others. Follow my Quick Quotes as I add more interesting wisdom over time.

I have never been into fashion… well not for a lot of years. In the era that I was a teenager, fashion had a whole different vibe and being ‘cool’ produced some memories to giggle over! Nowadays I couldn't tell you the first thing about haute couture. I'm a little north of middle age and these days my vibe is all me. Classic, comfortable and casual. If you're looking for the latest and greatest, this is not your list. If you want to step out and just feel plain good about your groove, take a look.

I am no chef and a lazy cook but I have my favourite recipes and do a darn good job of feeding my family healthy, nutritious and tasty meals with a little bit of naughty thrown in! I have qualifications in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Time Line Therapy (TLT), Hypnotherapy and Reiki. I have exposure to (and have dabbled in) many natural therapies over the years including Chinese Herbs, Homeopathy, Kinesiology, Naturopathy, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage (of various types), Iridology, Essential Oils, Gems and Reflexology. Likely there's more I'm not thinking of at this moment. Having said all this, I am not a medical practitioner and don't offer medical recommendations - just my own experiences. I am a huge believer in the mind/body connection and the language of the body that can teach us so many learnings to release trapped emotions and imbalances that cause dis-ease.

I have loved giving gifts since I was a little girl. I would often spend my pocket money on other people. I think there can be more joy in giving than receiving… but what if we could make what other's receive from us extra special? Some gifts are expensive and that makes them special in their own way, but I usually don't have much money to spend. Some gifts cost nothing at all and touch the heart all the way down to the soul. The kitchen is the heart of the home. Unfortunately, it can also be the most congested and dysfunctional space if we're not careful. Recently we bought a new stove and in the process of installing it we also had a major clean up and clean out. How cathartic! This whole process got me thinking about what I needed to update in my kitchen and the things I can't live without. I recommend everyone consider these items. Most of them are inexpensive additions or a practical gift for other's starting out.

Coffee is a big part of my life. I'm a bit of an addict if I'm being honest. Unfortunately I live in a back water where the coffee culture is a little sad. The outcome is a coffee maker at home for every occasion, various coffee options for different times of day and for where ever life takes me! Follow along as I build these lists over time.

I have loved books all my life and collected many. There came a point thought when I needed to downsize. I reasoned I would never read many of them again and could always borrow my favourite books (or authors) from the library. There were some books however, I could not part with. They were either very special at the time I read them or obscure authors or books I doubted I would ever find again. I hope I can find them to add to this list! If I do, it's a lucky day for me and you!
