Between my active lifestyle and my dog, I spend a lot of time outdoors exploring the Upstate. These are some of my favorite spots to get outside, enjoy nature, and let the dog lead the way. All doggo-approved, of course.
I love Conestee park for the options. As pictured, there's a ball park and shelter for group activities. But what is not shown is the large amount of trails through nature, Swamp Rabbit Trail connection, and a dog park. There's something for everyone...
Conestee Park - Greenville County Parks Recreation & Tourism
This is a small but, mighty park. Great for a nature walk with your family or pets. My dog and I frequent this local hike often.
Nalley Brown Nature Park
Another favorite of mine and the dogs. We usually run the Swamp Rabbit Trail through this area and take a detour across the bridge and down to the river. It's a great place to visit for a walk, dinner, or to relax. Good vibes all around.
Falls Park on the Reedy
Great park for everyone. Walking the dog, having a picnic, cycling or running. There's so much to do at this park. There's even a playground and a food hall. You can rent bikes to ride the Swamp Rabbit Trail too.
Unity Park
A short drive from Greenville is Paris Mtn. State Park. This park is such a great space with a lot of trails for hiking and mountain biking.
