I've had the privilege to lead TWO faculty-led programs for university students to Europe - with 11 students in 2023 and 2025. While there was an education course attached to these trips for the students, we were ALL checking off some major bucket list experiences in the places we visited, experiences we had and people we met. Over two unforgettable weeks (each trip), we wandered through storybook streets, stood in places that changed history, shared laughter over new foods, and collected memories in several cities across multiple countries. These journeys were full of wonder and wanderings and I want to share some of that (and my favorite recommendations) with you here. Believe it or not, after 25 years of marriage, my husband and I had never been on a vacation of more than just a few days just the two of us…and all of those were fairly local (within 6 hours of home).
