Hawaii is a beautiful and magical place. Maui is our favorite island and we have been there many times as a couple, on work trips, and with our children. We have found some favorite places to eat and things to do on the island.

The food in Hawaii is a bit more expensive than the average restaurant in the states so budget that into your trip. The food was fresh and delicious everywhere we went.
The Hula Grill is a must every time we come to Hawaii. I love all the outdoor seating and the menu is all yummy. Try the hula pie!
Hula Grill Kaanapali
This is another great restaurant with outdoor seating right on the beach. Great menu with fish selections and steak as well.
Leilani's on the Beach
Fun beach vibe and great food.
Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Wailea, Maui
Yum! I don’t even eat sushi but it looked amazing and everything we ordered was delicious!
There are so many fun things to do on the island. We usually pick 2 or 3 main excursions to do during our week there and then we have a few free days to just surf, play at the beach, and swim at the resort pool.
What a fun way to snorkel! The underwater scooter pulls you along so you don’t have to kick with fins. Saw so many cool fish and turtles! 🐠

I would for sure do the road to Hana at least once. It’s a long, skinny, windy road but it is so beautiful. There are several places to stop and swim in tiny pools or walk around.

The whale watching tour was AMAZING! Being so close to the whales and seeing them jump next to the boat was so fun.
Ultimate Whale Watch from Lahaina
I love zip lines so this was fun for me. There are a few ladders to climb and bridges to go over. If you are scared of heights you might not like it. I felt safe and securely clipped in each time.
Maui Zipline Eco Adventure: 8 Lines through the Jungle
We usually stay in Kaanapali so this Sheraton is in walking distance. It's expensive per person but so festive while in Hawaii to go to a Luau. All the big resorts usually have one you can go to.

There are many beautiful resorts to choose from. Here are a few of my favorites. The Marriott and the Hyatt have kitchens and are separate bedroom time share units. The others are hotel style and you will need to go out for all your meals.
We don’t own a time share week here but many times we have used the red week website to rent someone’s week. It works out great and usually a lower price than you can get a hotel room for a week. They have a kitchen so you can go to the grocery store...
Marriott's Maui Ocean Club - Molokai, Maui & Lanai Towers
This is a beautiful resort with a beautiful pool area. Book it on the red week website to rent someone’s time share week. They have kitchens so you can cook meals and the resort has grills out by the pool we use for dinner to cook chicken and steak....
Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa · Lahaina, HI
We love staying here because the beach area is so fun right in front of the hotel. The black rock is famous and fun to jump off of and the snorkeling below. it is amazing. You can take your own snorkel out and see lots of fish right along the black...
Ka'anapali Resort Hotel Maui | Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa
What a nice resort! This was a beautiful spot and has access and chairs on our favorite DT Flemming beach. This beach has the biggest waves for surfing and boogie boarding. They have golf carts that take you down from the hotel to the beach area be...
The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua - Guest Reservations
I haven't stayed at this one but it is on my bucket list. We love the Wailea area because there are lots of sea turtles around that area. This is a huge resort and looks amazing!
