For the rock hunting heart. There are some special rocks people hunt for. We saw Petoskey stones. It’s very interesting that you find those particular rocks on beaches.

Upper Peninsula
The further north you go, a different aspect of Michigan is experienced. The state is large that you need multiple trips to explore it all. You can also see the change in dynamics when the snowmobile signs start showing up as you move north.
We visited Mackinac island but stayed the night on the other side of the water. I also have been mispronouncing its name so there’s some information on Mackinac Island and how to plan. There’s a historical fort there too that you can tour.

Someone had recommended a cooking class. I think this was the location. I would love to do this!
Cooking Classes
This was a beautiful place. We rented mountain bikes went there by a boat to ride. I would like to go back someday. You would need to plan the day according to the ferry times.
