As a certified athletic trainer who works with athletes and works out myself, these are all my go-to items and exercises for active recovery days, post-workout routines, and post-game sore muscles.

I’m a night owl, and so finding a solid bedtime routine and sleeping environment that support a good night’s sleep has consisted of some trial and error for me. I always tell people that working outside is both my favorite and least favorite thing about being an athletic trainer. Some days, the weather is gorgeous and you’re marveling at the fact that you’re getting paid to watch sports on a sunny day while others are stuck inside. Other days, you’re resenting all who are inside, warm and dry, while you freeze and stand on your feet for 8 hours in the pouring rain. As a high school dance team coach and an avid exerciser myself, these are some products I’ve seen trending in the dance world or have tried out myself and loved! I’ve found that paying a little more for quality is worthwhile later on because the top brands last SO much longer and have way more attention to detail put into their designs, from the seams to the closures to the materials used. They are worth what they cost, so if you’re looking for pieces that you actually want to wear every day and feel confident in, be willing to splurge! I’ve thrown some budget-friendly options here as well that can be some classic closet staples.
