Perfumes and more
If you’re trying to build your fragrance collection without going through your products too fast, here’s how I do it:
1. Start Small
When trying out new scents, your best bet is to buy the smallest size available. Travel sizes, mini bottles, or sample sets are perfect. This way, you can experiment without committing to a full-size bottle — and without wasting money.
2. Layer Your Scents
The real trick is in layering. This not only helps your scent last longer, but also keeps things interesting. I like to mix and match in three layers:
• Base layer: Bath soap or body wash
• Middle layer: Lotion or body cream
• Top layer: Your perfume or body spray
Try using complementary scents across the layers — not everything has to match exactly. Sometimes opposites create a unique blend that really works.
3. Rotate to Save Product
By mixing and rotating different products daily, you avoid using up one product too quickly. You also get more variety and can match your mood, the season, or even the occasion.
