This is for nerds, by a nerd. If you’re watercolor painting with bad supplies, you’ve already lost the battle. I don’t think quality has anything to do with ‘level’ of artist, and a lot of ‘beginner’ supplies can severely hinder the joy of creating. (Looking at you, 36 cake pan set that’s drier than sand during a heat wave). So here’s my favorite watercolor supplies and tips (in descriptions and on products). eBay usually has the best prices btw!

From one nerd to another.

I was an avid reader throughout school, and here’s what I really loved. There’s a ton of fiction, found family, emotional stuff, and magic in here. I still enjoy these books now, and I think you and your younger folk might too. If you have any older kids, I’ve got you covered. You can most likely find any and all of these books at your local library/ on the Libby app.

The watercolors in my studio palette look like jewels. Forbidden fruit gummies, if you will.

I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again- they’re that good.
