I was born and raised in Manhattan and these are my favorite places to go in the city for a break or what I call a “fancy day”. Sometimes it’s fun to play tourist in your own city and awe at the wonders it has to offer.

Taking online art classes is an easy way to learn to new to you techniques and try out of your comfort zone projects. I have included here a wide variety of online classes most of which I have taken myself. Art memberships also allow you to connect with the artists running the classes as well as fellow students which allows you to build your own personal art community!

Late in 2024 I put out a call for people in my artists community to let me know their favorite small business and artists to purchase supplies and good from. Here is that list organized by catagory! Make someones day by shopping small!

I Love small tucked away bookstores and stationary shops where you never know what you will find. Here is a list of some of my favorites. Shops like these are so fun because they are filled with an ever changing inventory of magical treasures.
