I was born and raised in Manhattan and these are my favorite places to go in the city for a break or what I call a “fancy day”. Sometimes it’s fun to play tourist in your own city and awe at the wonders it has to offer.

I have been obsessed with the statue of liberty since I was 2 years old. Liberty park is a lovely place to spend and afternoon and the boat ride is iconic!

After lunch at Fraunces Tavern head down to Trinity Church to give your regard to Alexander Hamilton. He is laid to rest in the cemetery behind the church with his wife Eliza and son Philip

A beautiful way to walk though the west side of the city. Hop in and off the high line at your leisure to check out some of the gallery’s Chelsea has to offer.

A great place for shopping, eating and enjoying a more historic area of the city.
The Seaport
The Entirety of the central park zoo can be seen in about an hour and then you can sit and enjoy a snack at the dancing crane cafe. I love to bring my son here to get outside and see his favorite animals right in the heart of the city.
